Custom Jewelry Design, Made by Hand.
Anniversary pieces. Heirloom redesigns. One-of-a-kind creations for the moments that matter.
The Custom Design Process
Five steps. No pressure at any of them. We move at the pace that's right for the piece.
The First Conversation
Everything starts with a sit-down. We want to understand the person, the moment, and the meaning behind the piece — and we'd rather ask too many questions now than guess later. There's no obligation and no pressure.
Sketches & Stones
Ned hand-sketches options. We bring out stones to look at in real light. We talk through metals, settings, finishes — and start narrowing toward the design that feels right.
Refine & Approve
We tighten the design based on your feedback. Final proportions, exact stone, every detail confirmed. Nothing gets made until you've seen it and signed off.
The Making
Hand-built in our workshop. Cast, shaped, set, polished — the slow work that's hard to see in a photograph but always shows on a finished piece.
The Reveal
You come back to the studio. Final fitting, any small adjustments, and the moment you've been picturing for weeks. The piece goes home with you, ready for the moment it was made for.
Six Categories. Endless Possibilities.
Come With Anything.
The best custom projects start with something — anything. We've designed pieces from a single saved photo, a partner's Pinterest board, a family stone wrapped in tissue, a hand-drawn doodle on a napkin. Whatever you have, we can work with it.

Designed by Ned.
For decades, Ned has been the hand behind Classy Diamonds — the one at the bench, the one with the sketchbook, the one couples come back to for thirtieth anniversaries. His work is quiet, precise, and built to last longer than anything else you own.

What kinds of pieces can you custom-make?
Engagement rings, wedding bands, anniversary pieces, pendants and necklaces, earrings, men's pieces, and heirloom redesigns. If it can be made in fine metal and stone, we can probably make it.
Can you redesign a piece I already own?
Yes. Heirloom redesigns are some of our favorite work. We can reset stones from an inherited piece, melt down old gold for new metal, or rebuild something around what's meaningful and leave the rest behind.
How do I bring you my ideas?
Any way that helps us see what's in your head. A Pinterest board, a saved Instagram post, a photo of something a friend wore, a hand-drawn sketch, or just a description. We'll take it from there.
Can you work with my budget?
Almost always. Tell us what you're comfortable spending and we'll show you what's possible. We'll be honest about trade-offs — stone size, metal choice, complexity — so the budget shapes the design from the start.
How long does a custom piece take?
Most pieces take four to six weeks. Pieces with sourced stones, intricate settings, or hand engraving may take longer. We'll give you a clear timeline at your first appointment.
Do I need an appointment?
For custom work, yes — please book ahead. It gives Ned or Phil dedicated time to talk through your vision without interruption. Walk-ins are welcome for repairs, sizing, and quick questions.
